  • Sorry to bother you I feel like a fool in my last comments I asked about ground traininng and I meant GROUND TYING..... Keep up the good work cause you certainly have provided this old trainer with valuable information....Best Regards, John

  • @johnforgeron not a bother John... thanks for the good words... I could do one about ground tying...

  • Excellent....you are a true trainer; you call and show the real time deal. 90 % of the horse for sale with 30 days are not even close to broke certainly not like you say using mortar with your bricks.

Several have asked if you have a video on ground training...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.......

  • @johnforgeron Well some has to have to have the guts to show what things are really about.. Sure this isnt fancy ,,, but with a horse like this ii isnt fancy.. People can keep watching FRD and the stuff at clinics.. but that to me isnt real ..What people dont know they select horses for that stuff.. This horse would never been selected..

  • I am glad someone has the courage to show it like it is.. With these horses, you have to do what you have to do to get done what needs doing. Like you said, people say OMG he hit that horse but what do they say when the horse hits you? That horse would kick you in a second and not think twice. Thank you David for showing people out there what has to happen sometimes in order to help these horses. I enjoyed this video.

  • @Hudson2012 Well glad it went down, because I can show what a spoiled horse can and will do with out much pushing... Time people get out of this oh my horse wont me mode.... that is total bs.

  • Just wanted to say...I really like your videos. I Have worked with horribly spoiled horses in the past, and there is no better way to get yourself hurt than dealing with a horse that has no respect of your space. If I have a problem with something I'm trying to do, I come right back to your videos. Like you, I wish people would stop treating horses as 1000# dogs. Keep up the great work!

  • Nice shirt ..better sound quality !

  • Could you put up the whole video of what happened the first time? I had a very similar thing happen to me, same thing I wasn't told the truth I lost my good leather hat that day lucky my head wasn't in it. I train dogs and see it there too, spoiled dogs, spoiled horses and spoiled kids. No discipline. Scary thing is this pony has had 4 year old kids on it, they thought he was safe. Happens all the time.

    Sarah.

  • I agree totally. I do the same with my horses. I don't ever allow them to push on me and I always have control of their feet with every little thing I do with them. I DO NOT like them to push on me or invade my space when not invited. Also moving their feet and gaining control of their feet leads to a better ride. As big as horses are I would never hesitate to "pop" one if the need was there. Horses can do much worse to each other anyways when they want another to move.

  • I look forward to watching your video on Ground Tying and I am certain it will make sense and be more useful than the fool I watched last week. Thanks John from Calgary, Alberta, Canada
