@kichigaisensei Dude... it's a toy you can buy for 20 bucks in a store. Not a prop. Thus your video is lame and that thing is a fake.

@Stalin111 Another know-it-all, huh? No, you can;'t buy it for $20. It is hand made using the exact same materials and processes as the props used in the actual filming of the show. That means kydex vacuformed shells and metal parts. What you can buy commercially is a mass-produced, all plastic, POS made in a factory in China. If you're happy with something like that, knock yourself out. But, if you want something that is screen-accurate, you need to pay more. That's just how it is.

There is a gentleman making bluetooth comms from DST and/or STTE toy comms. They seem to work and he is selling them on ebay. I've seen them sell for $600. There is also a "how to" video on how you can make your own bluetooth comm somewhere. I've seen it.

In any case, the DST and STTE comms are not anywhere near as detailed/accurate as this one from Roddenberry.
