I love the prose as well, the way Cormac describes something violent or even sick and still getttin your eyes on the book even though it makes you wanna stop a little bit cuz its violent content. Im almost finishin re reading it :)
I avoided reading it based on it's reputation for unequaled violence and the awful power of the judge, whom I read Harold Blood describe having nightmares about. I read alot of his other stuff and after I stumbled upon this album I got fascinated and decided to read it.
It is indeed one of the greatest works of an American author. I was astonished how the prose almost tempered the violence into something palatable and not terribly obscene because it is wrapped in such beautiful writing.
I feel stupid for pointing this out but am I the only one who noticed Strange Brew in the background?
