In this video, Laura Burns, a graduate student from the University of Guelph, interviews an entomology professor who blogs about insects under the name "Bug Girl" (see http://membracid.wordpress.com/). The discussion includes why entomologists should consider blogging, and why it is important for scientists to use social media to communicate with the public. The interview took place during Entomology 2011 in Reno, NV.
@Scythemantis Thank you for the lovely compliment! *blush*

One of my favorite science bloggers and such an all around sweet, funny and smart person. I'm only now starting on a path to a degree in my very late 20's, but someday I hope I can attend gatherings like this as a real entomologist myself. People like Bug Girl and others are a consistent source of motivation with their great writing and cool attitudes about the field :)
