If you can stand the heat - make this vintage oasis your machine kitchen. Imagine what a sight for me to behold after emerging from the bowels of the Hoover Dam tour... A good number of 40's 50's, 60's, and 70's projects and parts cars just waiting for a Bedouin to resurrect their sun faded glory. Golden Valley, AZ (928) 767 - 3360

  • Really hope that they will find a home for all the cars. There used to be a very old junkyard about 35 miles from my house . It had EVERYTHING ! It was so old that full grown trees were growing out of engine compartments with no hoods. Very old Tractor trailer rigs - tanker's ,flatbed's.box trailers All with wood spoke rims . It was a Museum . About 30 years ago I learned that they sold the junkyard . EVERYTHING was cut up for scrap ! It was criminal .Lots of Trim pieces were intact : (

  • At least you have the memory of the place.

  • what is the location of this yard

  • In the text.

  • is the actual junkyard for sale or just the cars?

  • I believe both.

  • Sad to see those car die out like this... Im to young to rescue cars like this dont got enough money and im not good on cars..

  • Nice old 55 Pontiac 2 dr Hardtop.

  • those cars are to nice to part out.

  • I see this and I just want to give these poor cars a good home, kinda like the SPCA. Sigh.

    .

  • A lot of these cars need to be donated to high school auto shop classes, as project cars, to restore one, one per school year. Or given one per teenager, to restore themselves, but only to those Jonesing with a hard on to do so. Because they require an assload of work and TLC and innovation to restore. You learn a lot of cleaning and fixing skills doing it and innovating up new parts for things that are no longer to be found.

  • @transavie Absolutely correct. I love the old classics too, hate to see them crushed, but as you stated, not the best place to be in an accident compared to today's engineered cars. Very interesting crash test videos of 60's cars, esp. 59 impala vs. 2009 Malibu. The '59 literally euthenized the driver early in the event via the steering column, spared the agony of being crushed to death somewhat slower.

  • Nice cars I could make some of them nice there clean

  • This is about the only heritage Americans have. The cars should be saved, but seldom driven.

Remember, these beauties had no seatbelts, some did not have safety glass, some regularly impaled the driver on the steering column, others caught fire and burned the occupants who could not unlatch the doors...there is a lot to be thankful for that new cars do not have problems with.

  • its beautiful. i must come visit.

  • Cool cars :)
