"Day in the Trip - Mangroves" is the first of a series of 1-5 min. underwater videos, each recorded from a single day's diving in Raja Ampat, Halmahera and Lembeh Strait Indonesia on City Seahorse, Inc. dive / photo trips.
In Deep Water Mangroves much of the action and beauty is very near or at the surface. Archerfish, halfbeaks, juvenile batfish, feeding corals, nudibranchs, colorful soft corals are combined in this Raja Ampat video. I laugh when non-divers ask.. how deep do you dive? I expect the maximum depth this day was 30ft. Average probably less than 10ft.
This particular day of diving is included on our Raja Ampat, Sorong-Sorong and Sorong-Halmahera-Lembeh itineraries. These trips are targeted toward underwater photographers and videographers.
The video was shot with a Sony HC3 camcorder in a Gates Housing with Fathom Super Wide Port, SWP44. Captured in High Definition but converted to SD and Flash for display on the web page. A higher quality version is available on the www.cityseahorse.com website noted at the end of the underwater video.
Very cool! Unfortunately a crocodile attacked a diver at this site and the operators don't take trips to the mangroves anymore.
