Ever wonder how the buzzer on the first generation iPod touch works? Remember PLAY in QBASIC? This is a brief description of how the piezo buzzer works on the iPod and me playing around with it. It sounds just like birthday card music. :)

Sorry for the shaky camera work and soft buzzer sounds.

I got the QBASIC play statements from http://www.madhousebeyond.com/?mode=docview&view=qbasic and http://www.dougbunger.com/qbasic/music.htm

  • It's a big deal for me! I've had my 1st Gen iPod touch for more than 2 years, and still using it. I hope there will be a way to play some UI sounds through the buzzer on the iPhone OS. I've been hoping that.. since very long... :-(

  • @TheTeckAddict Agree. I fucking want Android on my 1st Gen iPod touch too. Mostly because it wont get the 4.0 update :(
