Himmler (sporting the worst bowl-cut ever) talks to Reinhard Heydrich and others. (:32) Eva Braun with one of two dogs Hitler gave her
(1:00) Eva's father and best friend Herta Schneider
(1:45) Eva and her father leaving the Berghof
(2:06) Eva's sister Gretl swimming with parents
(3:17) Eva in waterfall
(3:40) Tea house interior, exterior, and hiking trails
(5:03) AH on steps with von Ribbentrop and Martin Bormann
(5:20) Albert Speer on terrace, with AH briefly, Eva on exercise bar
The footage and still photos of Gretl Braun swimming are often wrongly identified as being Eva. The sisters were nearly identical so, this is a frequent mistake.
Note: As a student of history and WWII these films are edited and presented as a historical curio and a source of information. No one else that I know of has bothered to identify the people in these silent films as I have. This series is not intended to promote any political view or personal bias. It is simply a historical record captured on film. I am aware that the release of the Braun movies has upset some people as they appear to humanize Hitler. But I believe these films are useful in knocking Hitler down to size, reducing the monumental impersonal image of him to human scale.
