Ce film vous invite dans diverses régions de France à la rencontre de Madeleine, Marie et Renée, victimes de tontes à la Libération. A travers les destins croisés de ces femmes, découvrez un épisode bien peu glorieux de l'histoire de la France.
Jusqu'à très récemment, les historiens ont eu tendance à réduire l'épisode des femmes tondues à la Libération, le tenant pour un phénomène marginal. Cette pratique fut pourtant massive et répandue sur l'ensemble du territoire français en 1944-45. Pour la plupart des femmes tondues, c'est presque toujours la même histoire, celle d'une France occupée dans laquelle les jeunes filles, par insouciance ou inconscience, commettent l'impensable : le délit d'adultère avec l'ennemi de la Nation.

@APhilCollinsFan Sorry to tell you that but I'm curious to see a war occuring on Canadian soil in order to watch the attitude of the Canadian people during and after the war. In my opinion, they would not behave better or worse than the French and the Europeans during WWII.

Now ladies and gentlements and you also the french , the fact that other countries have shave women before or after , Well,.. that is NOT a excuse to commit a crime against women ! Personally you should have put all your efforts and all your energy against the real enemy instead of hiding like larva !

@buehlerama Well wait, it seems the book has been tranlated to English and is named "Shorn Women". The link is in amazon. I cannot put an amazon link in a Youtube comment space. Convinced now ? One last thing, in each war, there is ALWAYS a minority of real heros within a people, no matter this people are the French, Germans, English, Americans, Russians, Norwegians, Chinese, Israelis or Hobbits.
