The average birth rate in China is less than 8% while India got 45%, and the birth rate in big cities is less than 2%, and Shanghai got negative birth rate since 1999.
The problem is not the birth rate but the large base in population stem from 1950-1960s

I shot the footage purely by chance because I was stuck at the interchange and did not want to join the crowds trying to get on the rush-hour subway trains.

I was not in any particular hurry to go anywhere though.
