This is the story of Darren Baldwin, a Special Forces Soldier who served his country boldly, and now fights equally boldly to recover from his injuries. Darren, we honor you for your sacrifice and your courage, and we urge the public to support our efforts to help soldiers like you. Please donate or participate in "The Hero's Crusade: An Athlete's Campaign", November 2011, Fayetteville, NC.

  • See us on Facebook : The Heroes Crusade: An Athlete's Campaign

  • Darren Baldwin was misdiagnosed with multiplue sclerosis. Later it was discovered that traumatic brain injury was the cause. He is an example of the never give up mentality of our troopers!!

  • What a great fighting spirit. If we only treated our real heros as well as hollywood's pretty boy imitators.

  • It's pretty sad this video only got over 3,000 hits but some sports figure can get over 100,000 views. Our priorities are not inline. Get Better...NSDQ!!!! I also suffered a TBI fron two RPG blasts in a firefight in Aghanistan,Korengal Valley 25MAY06. Feel Better....

  • Darren, you inspire me.

  • Goodluck and keep going forward! I had a diving accident in 1999 and I'm paralyzed from the chest down. We do not get to pick what happens to us, but we can dictate how we react.

  • SHAME on those who have misdiagnosed him ... and probably many others. SHAME on them all! Those people need to go to prison.

  • Darren, I will say first hooah! for your attitude. I like yourself was a combat arms officer. I have multiple sclerosis at 100% impairment. Don't give up! I am walking after 5 years of therapy. Starting from a fetal ball of pain in a wheel chair to forearm crutches to canes to one cane. I love your winning spirit and can do attitude. The mental battle of feeling emasculated is nearly as tough as the physical battle. You are not alone my friend. Keep smiling! It helps.

  • You are an inspiration.

    De Oppresso Liber, Sir!

  • I feel helpless watching this...going to write a check to the Wounded Warrior Project right now.

  • If you don't feel it way down, then ask yourself why!

  • God Bless you son and your too Bianca for never giving up. The power of faither and committment will have you win this battle. God Bless you both. Love Mom and Wess.
