  • Mormons did you pray to know if the Bible is true? Would you pray to God to know if the Koran is true? Even if the Book of Mormon were true that does not tell you which Mormon sect to join. There are many Mormon sects all believing in the Book of Mormon and claiming to be the restored church. You will have to engage your brains to find truth. That is the bottom line. You cannot base your belief on pure feeling.Feelings are very misleading. The NT Christians studied the scriptures to know the truth.

  • Look up "Mormon Apologetics & Evangelical Neglect: Losing the battle & not knowing it." Anti-LDS Evangelical scholar examines attacks on LDS & admits that the LDS Apologists have successfully refuted nearly every attack, & very few arguments against the LDS are legit. He also notes evidence, discoveries, support, & counter-arguments formed by LDS scholars that have been met with silence by critics.

Read that article; can't get any more unbiased or fair.

  • This Moroni scripture is in complete harmony with the Bible, sorry. John 16:13-the Spirit is the source of all truth. We're taught to ask & seek in Matthew 7:7 & James 1:5. As well, the Spirit is felt through specific feelings (Galatians 5:22-23).

  • Is praying with mormons praying to a false god? Praying about the bookofmormon is spiritual deception.

  • @h00pla434 In fact most commonly they would tell me they knew their faith was true because scientific evidence A or pamphlet B. But that's only my experience in eastern Ontario as a missionary. But I can't say what answer they received, that's between God and them. I only know the communications I have had with God. And you can pray to God to know if the test answer is A B C or D, but you'll probably get roughly the same answer I got, 'No.' I believe God always answers, just not how we want.

  • I don't see how Moroni 10:4 says to follow your heart. As near as I can read it says just the opposite, you're not following your heart, you're supposed to follow God. God is the one that will tell you if it's true, not your heart. As for other religions and sects praying to know if their scriptures, etc are true, I'm curious about that because I don't recall meeting anyone of any faith that told me they had prayed about their faith.

  • Hey man, I appreciate your journey to find truth. Life sure can take us to places we never imagine and it's the search that makes it all so exciting. Best wishes in your journey!
