I used my old (5 yrs old) Sony TRV - 70 mini dv, we purchased a new hi def to take with us on our way down but my batteries don't work with the new camera so I used my back up. The new camera we purchased is the Sony HDR-HC9 with external microphone and wide angel lens. I also like to have an 8 hour battery for traveling.
