Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps drivers to avoid crashes by reducing the danger of skidding, or losing control as a result of over-steering. ESC becomes active when a driver loses control of their car. It uses computer controlled technology to apply individual brakes and help bring the car safely, back on track, without the danger of fish-tailing.
Open in a dealer showroom where a husband, wife and young child are looking at a new car. The wife gets into the driver's seat and asks the salesman 'does it have ESC?' We then cut to the car driving along the road. There is a truck in front carrying large boxes. One of the boxes falls off and comes towards the car. The car swerves to avoid the box and goes out of control into the path of an oncoming truck. We now see a demonstration of how the car would have handled with ESC. Finish back at the showroom with the wife getting out of the car and joining the husband young child. 'Electronic Stability Control could save your life. Don't buy a car without visiting this TAC website.'

That's an important feature to have. Why no one else has it, or why it's never been offered before, is beyond me. It could mean the difference between life and death.

and what about side impact airbags, you gotta get a vehicle with both esc and side impact airbags.

Swerving like that, even with ESC, is a bad idea. Instead of having a very minor collision with a cardboard box (The car probably wouldn't even be damaged), you could potentially have a deadly head on collision when you swerved into the oncoming lane.

Does she realize by swerving that she could cause a much more serious accident? She would have been better off just hitting the box.

Every new car built should have ESC, Electronic Stability Control.
