I was born and raised in Philly and did my dirt on Kensington Ave/North Philly and I now live in New York. Did my dirt here too. If your fucked up and on drugs you always take you with you. Same shit different places is all. Been clean 5 years.
@omfgCantGetaUsername Acutually NYC has cleaned up alot since the 1980's NYC had over 2500 murders in a single year no city will ever come close to that again. NYC still has alot more ghettos then Philly NYC is alot bigger but philly now a days is worse. Newark and Irvginton are worse then philly I would rather live in philly. North Jersey has alot more ghettos then South Jersey every city I named before has ghetto areas. Camden is the worst in NJ but North Jersey has alot more ghettos.
@311brusier As far as, safe lifestyles I would rather be living in Jersey City than Camden and in NYC than Philly but I'm glad it's not all gang territorial like Camden is. I'm always hearing bad stories about over there it's kinda like how bad Baltimore's drug epidemic is. They always say when you visit don't go traveling alone if you're not a native stay in groups and don't be flashy but that's only if you wonder off the downtown area I assume.
@omfgCantGetaUsername right! NYC and Philly are alot alike and smiliar in ways. I always felt living in SJ by Philly that it reminded me of a bourough or part of NYC. Parts of NYC and Philly do look alike. Some parts look different to NYC buildings are taller, Philly streets are more narrow. PHI got highrises and NYC got rowhomes too. Its funny how the cities are big rivals of each other in sports and people from Philly and NYC always arguing which city they feel is better. LOL
@311brusier In fact, here it's called the Italian Market down South Philly not too far from Society Hill or Queens Village. Not sure if you've ever been there but it's nice. All this debating got me thinking how much alike Philly and NYC are we're just smaller and designed different but a lot of culture. Of course, Philly's known for its cheese steak but I didn't need to tell you that. Pennsylvania Dutch has good bakeries and good soft pretzels I'm always buying a few. LOL
@omfgCantGetaUsername Philly's Chinatown and Little Italy is cool, NYC's its just bigger. I know from living in South Jersey that Pats and Geno's are not the best chessesteaks. Tony Lukes got the best chessesteaks in philly. In NYC Shorties Chessesteaks, Carl's Chessesteaks are good not better then philly of coarse but a pretty good Chessesteak. They had Tony Lukes in Manhattan I don't know if they still have it tough.
@omfgCantGetaUsername I don't know when they will finish the Freedom Towers. I was In Perth Amboy NJ on 911 and across the bay in the distance you can make out the Island of Manhattan, and all I saw was Manhattan covered in smoke. Fighter Jets flew by and every cop was out to. They stoped rebuilding the new twin towers at one point due to lack of funds and a arument of how much money should be put in the project. Really pissed New Yorkers off. Its going to be along time before their done.
Uh, yeah it did, been off that shit for a long time now.
