Minnesota's Annual Sunset Sparkle Ballroom Dance -- 2009

On Sunday, October 4, 2009, the 1st annual "Sunset Sparkle" Ballroom Dance was held at the Lafayette Country Club in Wayzata (Minnetonka Beach), Minnesota. There were approximately 150 dancers who enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and a view of the lake before dancing began. The dj played a variety of music. Though some of the tunes were new to most of us the music was quite danceable and played through an adequate sound system. The ballroom was elegant and large. At the break there were performances by several excellent dancers including Andy and Janie Nordberg and also Nels Peterson and Theresa Kimler. The dance was put on by the USA Dance MN group. Unfortunately I did not have my normal camera gear with me so this was shot with a little pocket digital still camera. Hopefully you will excuse the quality of the video for the chance to see some of the dancing.
