One of the most important overlooked factors in running is that of alignment and stability of the pelvis and hips. Correction of proximal hip and pelvis problems can in most cases address and treat distal lower leg ailments and injuries. If your car is out of alignment it will end up in the shop. The same holds true for the runner. A running video gait analysis of two runners with alignment problems.

  • @njsportsmed Anywhere in the Phoenix metro area.

  • Thank you for this. I have always been a fast runner (sprinter), but I have never been in good enough shape to enjoy running. I am beginning the process of getting back into shape after 13 years of just being a working single mother. I now know what muscles to strengthen to help avoid injury, especially since I also overpronate. This was very eye-opening. So was your "Overpronation, The Truth" video. Thank you.

  • Great info! Looking forward to the next one!

  • So how do we, your viewers, fix the imbalances causing this? You said that info. would come in another video, is it up yet? I trail run, and have been having all kinds of trouble with my feet and lower legs. And right hip. Watching a video of myself running, I see that my left hip drops, I over-pronate, and my feet kick out. I look like the runner on the left, although maybe a bit worse. HELP! (And thanks for posting!)
