  • This was filmed at Footscray Park next to the city of Melbourne

  • I'm a young kid of Generation Y and I believe that I grew up in the wrong decade. I love music like this, music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. and I'm so jealous of those who actually got the chance to live through this time. Long Live Ted Mulry.

  • @helgran2 Doubt your story. Even though he was a pom, Ted was a decent bloke. They would not have used an underage girl. Now if it was William Shakespeare, we might believe it.

  • Ted's brother Steve is in the band Black Label (Australian Band not USA)

  • Nice song really enjoyed it, they can not make or compose music like this any more. I liked the girl in the clip I can remember when the girls wore short dresses and always looked great, like the girl in the clip. Keep up the good work

  • Ted's version of "Darktown Strutters Ball" was also awersome!

  • @nthqlndr , I am sure we had an Edels in Marrickville. I know I still have a heap of records with Edels stickers on them! Yeh we used to get the early train so we could get there b4 school!

There was also a donut shop nearby that was very popular, you could get a bag of reject donuts for an incredibly cheap price but can't remember how much now.Way too long ago! Ahh the memories!

  • @larajuzz The record bar on Wynyard Ramp?? I used to work at Harrolds & haunted that record bar during my lunch hour! I'm proud to say, I had a bit to do with TM getting into the top 20. Those days, record sales was what positioned your song. I worked for Edel's Music, when this song came out, the biggest music shop in Sydney, at the time. I was in charge of the "singles - 45rpm" counter. Loved the song, played it all day. Sold heaps!

  • I went to High school with the girl in this clip. She was 14 at the time and was walking along the Corso Manly when she was approached. It is not Julia.

Just heard the song on radio after many many years.

  • I can remember when this was in the Top Twenty in 1970!!!!

We used to wait all week to go to the record bar on Wynyard ramp to pick it up before school. And michelleslave1 everyone wore their skirts that high in the 70's!!!
