@SuperSlayerX 720 is 720 vertical lines, each frame delivered progressively with no intelacing (Like a film-look). 1080i is 1080 vertical lines, each frame interlaced (Split into two, gives a more news-like or soap-opera look). 1080p is 1080 vertical lines, each frame progressive with no interlacing.
@MTVPrezes BBC HD is 1080i, all HD channels in the UK (from what I have read) broadcast at 1080i, and anything that was originally 720p will obviously be upscaled to 1080i.
