  • Mate I have the same card, the card is beast surely it can eat anything you bring before it. But as you show in the video it gets really hot. And since I lost my oldest card to heat, I am sitting here to scared to play games. And I mostly play RPGs which takes a lot time like 4-5 hours straight. Do you think even though it gets hot is 70-80C temp could cause any damage to the card in long term gameplay? Can it handle it? What do you think how long do you play?

    Thank you.

  • @Zechariah40 97°C is the max safe temp of a 580. i played bf3 on max setting for many hours and the card never reached this temp.

  • no i got the same card and i find it suxs to mucht nice and it go to hot for a dual fan card suxsss

  • Have you RMA'd the card, because it shouldn't get that warm with such high fan speeds. This is not standard but a manufacture error.

  • @alexalexss

may be he live in sahara or his case is oven xd

  • would you recomend this card?

  • In BC2 I touch the 90°+ lol but I have it in SLI.... so I try to reduce the FPS to reduce the temp and noise!

  • @McGarry3 I have asus 580 matrix with 2 monitors idle is 40C and 20% (1200rpm).

  • @McGarry3 Haha okay.

  • @CaseyTheDrummerBoy get one in reference design and everything will be fine ;)
