  • Nice video, but you really should consider wearing hearing protection.

  • @Cnexir What!!!!! I cant hear you LOL LOL LOL

  • Nice video. I have a couple of Marlin leverguns (444, 308MX, 30-30) and I know the quality is top-notch. How does the Puma compare as far as fit and finish? I really like the 454 in my Ruger SRH and would love to have a levergun in matching caliber.

  • @BuddyRansom its ok i have been told the forearm cracks but not mine so far but i have not shot it very much,i too love my SRH i'd hunt with it before my puma .

  • @Ramonasonemanarmy Can the .454 levergun shoot .45 LC like the SRH can? Also this is made by Rossi still right? and it's just a Winchester 92 clone?

  • @ImWatchinTheTube yes,yes,and yes

  • Wow! Any of these shots could kill the biggest of bears, I genuinely believe. Great vid! BTW, is the Casull .454 "MUCH" more powerful than the .44 Magnum? Just a curious question.

  • Man you make those guns look like little toys

  • @Ramonasonemanarmy LOL. Thats some elite firepower right there

  • 0:32 COGLIONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice, get rid of the music!! What Make/Model is that? Marlin?

  • Nice Recoil control. I think I will stick with the lowly 30-30.

If I understand my history correctly, the .45-70 replaced the original .50-70 in the "trapdoor" Springfield which had been originally a stopgap factory cartridge conversion of the muzzle-loading Civil War Springfield rifle-musket. Just like the British .577 Snider conversion of their own Enfield rifle-musket. However, instead of moving on we kept the outmoded trapdoor Springfield and manufactured it in .45-70 for a ridiculous length of time.

  • Notice how high the muzzle is, my 454 is the same sight alignment feels like your gonna overshoot the target but it's just the slugs are so heavy they drop pretty quick.

  • Those were some very nice rifles. I have a 1895ss and I love it. I hade a smith put a kick eez on it so I could shoot it more. The stock pad did nothing for the recoil. You micht want to put one one,it will help if you shoot alot.
