Ilana Shafir is a world-renowned artist from Ashkelon, Israel. She is famous for her watercolor paintings, ceramics and modern mosaic works. Particularly compelling about Ilana's work is the way in which it reflects and evolves alongside her life experiences. This video titled 'Kula' is the second in a series of eight short films about Ilana's life and work. Kula is the small village in which Ilana and her family hid during the Second World War between 1942-1945. אילנה שפיר היא אמנית בין-לאומית מאשקלון, שהתפרסמה בעבודותיה המגוונות הכוללות ציורים בצבעי מים, פיסול בקרמיקה, ומוזאיקה מודרנית. התפתחותה של עבודתה האמנותית שזורה בקורות חייה. הסרטון 'קולה' הינו השני בסדרה של שמונה סרטונים המלווים את יצירתה האמנותית במשך 70 שנה. אילנה ומשפחתה נמלטים מאימת הנאצים ובין השנים 1942-1945 מוצאים מסתור בכפר קטן בחבל דלמטיה, בשם קולה. אילנה מציירת את נופי הכפר וסביבתו וכן דיוקנאות של תושבי הכפר, שרבים מהם זוכרים אותה ואת משפחתה עד היום.
