I'm not as old as your dad, but I was only 18 years old when I met Johnny. He was never a private and shy person like Sonya, or however she spells her name would like you some of you to believe.

I won't retract my comments that I knew this man intimately. His widow keeps posting about what a private man he was, but that was not my own experience with him.

He was always very flirtatious with females and more than ready to talk about his entire life to anyone who would listen.

The Johnny Paris I knew would not have want this, but his second wife has control, it seems

I really appreciate you writing this. My dad [he's 69 now] has always been massive fan of Johnny and The Hurricanes since the started out and though he didn't know Johnny, echoed your sentiments here.

Thanks once again for this... it means a lot to me [though I've only been a fan since the 1970s (!)] and my dad as well.

Thankfully their music is available on a number of other internet distribution platforms which is great. I won't mention them here for obvious reasons

First of all Sonya is not Johnny's first wife. She is his second wife.

Jeff, Monica, and Sherri were the children of his first marriage. (I finally remembered Sherri's name).

He used to breed boxers when I was involved with him.

I'm just so sad that his second, and GERMAN wife has removed his online presence!

For some selfish reason of her own, she has removed easy access to Johnny's music. I will always remember him as the man with the "talking sax".
