  • a couple of great fighters right there boys

  • @khav11 ...agreed while probert was older in his early 30s at this time, past his prime kind of wore out from hard living and hard fighting, while twister not too much younger, was still fresh, lifestyle difference than probert, not as many fights and of course younger...while still in the top 10 at this time probert was past his prime and on a slow decline while twister was on the rise, at his prime.....

  • @khav11 very true. Shelly is still one of the most feared fighters according to an April 2010 poll of NHL players. He joined Boogasard, Chara, DJ King, and Colton Orr as the most feared men in the league. The poll was done by Sports Illistrated.

  • @BoSoxnation1972 jody shelley is a perfect exemple

  • win for probert with the takedown of twist.

  • Cinder blocks, HaHaHa.

  • @BoSoxnation1972 i knid of agree with u about good and fit enough to collect money and to play the game jody shelley is way passed over 30s and still manage to fight well but i was just talkin about prime which is obv not in the 30s whatsoever

  • @khav11 I know you're talking about toughness. Donald Brashear, George Laraque, and Wade Belak were all top 10 fighters just 2 years ago, and all 3 of them were in their 30's.

20 years ago, not many fighters were still good into their thirties. Behn Wilson was out of hockey because of a bad back when he was 29. Clark Gillies retired at 33. Stan Jonathan was retired at 28.

Today, an enforcer can still be good at 33-35 because of diet and exercise.

  • @BoSoxnation1972 wait u talking about skills in ur prime right?

i was talkin about tuffness aggressivenes fights etc.

  • @khav11 I don't disagree with you, although players nowadays with training, diet, and suppliments can extend their prime into their 30's.

Probert might have peaked younger than most fighters because he abused drugs. Twist peaked when he started using steroids and got too strong for everyone.
