elephants are badass

@elfunkeado quite frankly you're quite stupid. Tell that to the millions of people dying in the world due to poverty and disease. Tell that to the thousands of animals chained and kept in cages for the sake of entertainment for human beings and not ever being able to be free. Tell that to innocent people that are controlled by governments unable to voice their opinions. You have to do something to make a change not just sit there and meditate.

@elfunkeado you may want to check your capslock ;)

my friend, there are no problems..but u want to create a problem in your mind.......first start helping yourself......look at your life, are you happy? or u like to see every problem you have in your life........try UNDERSTAND.....NOT TO FIX........therefore....if it could be fix why u worry about it? if it can not be fix...then why worry about it........? meditate, and help yourself, dont seek for answers......the answer are already around you.

@elfunkeado That is a very ignorant remark. If you were a decent human being you would face the problems on this planet of ours and try to fix what is right. This is a very beautiful lovely world we live in but there are ALOT of injustices that go on. Stand for what is right.. don't just be like'' oooh thats so cute and clever''.

@artvertex just because they are born in captivity it doesn't mean they are domesticated. Captive elephants are still genetically the same as wild elephants. This means that they must be tamed, and in most cases the taming process is brutal. Not all mahouts are abusive of course, but training methods still rely on physical threat rather than positive reinforcement. The Thai government has made minimal effort to ensure the wellbeing of captive elephants, as there are no laws regarding abuse.
The Who is looking for a new drummer. And this one works for peanuts.

I am Thai. I live in Chiangrai. Please stop blindly complaining about animal abuse. I knows lots of peoples who raise elephants. Not many people capture a baby elephant from the wild anymore these days. They are DOMESTIC elephant since birth. In Thailand elephants are like dogs, NOT wild animal. Anyone who capture wild elephant will end up in jail.
Elephant's master is not a very fun job, I can tell that. Their life are as painful as their elephants.
