@Davec775 If you uncok it, remove smog recirculator and use a block off kit, do the airbox mod and go with a 175 main and a 68s jetting and get a better than stock exhaust.... you may see up to 27 more hp. I know that sounds extreme but I have read it more than one place before. I have an 03 XR650R with the above mods, skid plate, trailtech vapor, twin air filter, bark busters, shark fin, pro tapers and run a Maxxis Desert IT on the rear 120 width..and 15/48 gearing. It friggin rips!

Спору нет.Байк надёжный и мощный.Но,увы простота хуже воровства могли бы оставить электростартер.Акб со стартером не сильно утяжелили бы его итак не малеленький вес.Светотехника слабая.

Cheers for the comments Gents.
I sold the XR in these pic's. realised i'd made a mistake and bought another one. Thats 3 i've had now. With the KDX 220 for the tighter stuff i'm happy again now. :o)

I have similar set up as yours, XR650R with Acerbis tank and Dunlop D908 on the back. And (lucky me) I have a second 650R with supermoto wheels for road use. This bike is a legend and the only bike I'll ever want to own. Thanks for posting.

Its a pleasure mate. They are great bikes for sure.
I've sold my Acerbis tank as it happens. Silly but i found it to damned uncomfy to ride with it on. My left knee is damaged and it was rubbing on the cut outs in the side. Im 6 foot 6 see.
Hoping to get an IMS tank for it at some stage.
All the best, Rob.

Nah mate, rear tyre is a Dunlop D908RR. Brilliant tyres and they last a long time but good off road and the rear is great on road aswell. The front gets a bit squirmy above 70mph hence a Metzeler on the front for road use/light non muddy trail. Front 908RR goes on for proper off road.
Be warned though, the 908rr even though its only a 140 is actually very wide and rubs on the swing arm. 5 minutes with a grinder on the tyre cures that.
Cheers, Rob.
