When we stayed, in 2006, the rate was around $600/night US for the room we had. We paid 30,000 Priority Club points points per night, which we got using the priority club visa, and staying at holiday inns whenever we traveled for several years. The food was expensive, about $35USD for breakfast, $45USD for dinner.

There is an airport on one of the barrier islands, however you have to take a boat to get this tis particular part of the barrier.
