@suckitfuckerIDC Yeah, he's pretty awesome. Matthew Good? More like Matthew Great. I'm not the poet you are, all I've got is lame dad jokes.

The song's about finding forgiveness for something.. maybe societal ills. He's asking Mother Mary for forgiveness.

Matthew Good's music, as the music of revolutionaries of his magnitude before him, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig Van Beetohven, and Kurt Kobain, will echo through the generations, like a folding ripple becoming a wave, across the surface of an ocean, in a world of still waters, and calm winds.

@teahouse100 To make nothing of it. And you are still right. It is human to try and justify our origins simply and concisely, in any possible way. But it is the people's choice, whether or not to embrace those ideals. Religion is human. But we're not really just human anymore, we're humanity. So we can be so much more, than the excuses of our forefathers. How does any of this relate to this song? It doesn't. But I hold Matthew Good in high regards, as one of the best musicians, of this century.

@teahouse100 pursuits or flaws, such as Romance, Lust, War, Agriculture, Architecture, Honor, Respect and Dominance. As only a recent example of a war fought on a basis of both religion (Middle-eastern countries) and greed (United States). The two walk hand in hand it seems, (The crusades, The corruption in the church, Hedonistic rome's conquering of empires for the glory of their gods, and the advancement of their prosperity). Religion is really what you make of it, and I choose

This is my favorite song on the album.
