Blackberry Tour Tethering to Mac

So, I found an application that gives Mac users the ability to tether their Blackberry devices to their Macs. TetherBerry, costs about $50 but so far it is the only solution I have found that lets me utilize my mobile broadband plan.

Can you also tether to laptops like Sony Vaio and ipods?

You can tether to other laptops, but not to ipods or other small devices.

i have a blackberry bold and i have an unlimited data plan not sure about a tethering plan is it safe for me to tether?

just to let you know to record your screen on HD click the little "gear" icon when you open up ishowuhd and click same as video size (1280x800)

Thanks for the video tip! TetherBerry states that their program works through your phones data plan, so you don't need a tethering plan to use it, however, this violates your terms of service through your carrier (see my other comment) AND you could be charged extra fees through your carrier since many of them say "unlimited data" but really mean "at 5GB we will cut down your internet connection." So if you are going to use TetherBerry, I would keep a careful watch on your phones data usage!

Can you do this even though i dont have a tethering plan

According to TetherBerry, you don't need a tethering plan to do this, HOWEVER, it is a violation of the terms of service to use the regular data plan for tethering. I pay the extra money for the tethering plan with this method so that I avoid breaking the rules and I advise that others do the same. I have heard that some people who use this method and do not pay for tethering have been hit with some pretty hefty charges on their bill, so I say cover your butt and your wallet and just pay for it!

hey, well i been thinking of downloading this but my question is that im scared it will charge me for it on my plan. i have verizon, but i dont think it will because it uses the data plan you already have. any suggestions??
