Episode 39

Demi kept on crying and just when Joe was about to enter her he got off the bed.
Joe: I don't understand why I got married. I have a fucking wife that doesn't let me touch her.
He put back his clothes and walked out of the room slamming the door behind him. Demi closed tight her eyes and pressed the cover of the bed to her body. Her heart was beating fast. She felt empty. After 20 minutes her face was red. Demi found the strength to get and went in the bathroom. She took a shower and then again got dressed. Then again she became worried. She was worried because Joe was again out there and maybe he was again drinking. She sighed and sat down on the bed. The time was passing but still didn't come back. Without noticing it she fell asleep. On the next morning Demi opened her eyes. The sun was shining. She tried to move but her whole body hurt. She stood up and went to the wardrobe. She took out a red dress and put it on. Demi took her purse and went out of the room. Her heels could be heard and when she went in the dining room she was surprised to see Joe. He was sitting next to Nick and was drinking his coffee. He looked fresh like nothing had ever happened.
Richard: Oh good morning, Demi. Come and sit, have breakfast with us. (smiles)
Demi: I... (looks at Joe) I am not hungry. I think I'll go to the company.
Natasha: Are you okay honey?
Demi: Yes, grandma I am just not hungry.
Demi answered and was about to leave when Joe said after her.
Joe: Wait! I am gonna drive you there.
He said and put a piece of bread in his mouth. Then he stood up and walked towards to her. Everyone looked speechless. That was unusual for Joe.
Nick: Did somebody finally understand that he has an awesome wife?
Joe: I still can hear you Nicholas. Shut up!
Demi quickly walked out and Joe walked after her. They got in her Mercedes that was parked near the garden. Half of the time passed in silence.
Joe: Demi... I thought a lot about this and I think we should be friends at least.
Demi couldn't believe that he had just said that. Her eyes shot him quickly.
Demi: Are you fucking kidding me? You almost raped me and now you want to be my friend?
Joe: Look... I... yesterday (he started and stopped the car near a tree) when I saw you with Jesse... I don't know something in me... I was angry. I couldn't believe that you were with another man.
Demi: And you decided to go and get drunk and then rape me.
Joe: I know I was wrong and I am sorry. Demi I went trough so much. The girl I loved died (she looked down) I started drinking and then out of nowhere my grandfather made me get married so he could be happy. I don't know what I feel towards you, I don't know why I get mad. I am confused and I need to know that there is a person next to me. You my wife if that's not you then I don't know who.
Demi: I understand but you hurt me Joe. I have feelings too. I begged you.
Joe: I know, I know. Just please give me a chance. I promise I'll change. Just... don't go out with other guys in front of me. I... (looks down)
They stayed quiet and then Demi broke the silence. She put her hand over his and said.
Demi: Alright let's try it but promise me you won't make me cry ever again.
Joe: I promise (smiles)
Later they went to the company and Joe went to his office and Demi went to see Jesse. She didn't know why but she felt happy, like she had forgotten about last night.
