The middle class & small businesses will be slammed by this bill. We will pay the brunt.
Where is that $500 credit coming from? YOUR TAX DOLLARS...You are getting BACK your OWN money. Well, only IF you pay your taxes.
Mr. Israel, how about this Pg 331-Sec 1161 it cuts more than $150 billion from Medicare Advantage plans, potentially jeopardizing millions of seniors existing coverage
LI Seniors need this coverage-Do you really care about them?

Mr. Israel doesn't work for Nancy Pelosi, he works for US... but likely not for much longer.
f1nK3L90: It isn't about caring for others, it's about saddling children with debt when it impacts only a small percentage of the population. Of course we want all to have care...just come up with a better plan. If the plan was so good, why the rush? 5 votes? C'mon it is government at its inefficient worst ... & sadly my congressman seems to want to lead the charge ... until we vote him out next time!

Congratulations on passing health care reform. Soon, all americans can achieve the dream of universal healthcare. thank you for voting yea for the Affordable Healthcare for America Act. People need medical care, and they need you to make sure they do. America is on its way to a new healthcare industry. soon, hopefully, no one will go without any necessary medical care, including regular check-ups, raising the quality of life for millions to unprecedented levels.

Agreed. Steve (no need for being polite since we are being disrespected) could've said, "Let's not vote for this. People haven't had the time to read and understand this. We've waited this long, let's make sure this is correct". With a 5 vote margin this thing passed and effects EVERYONE.
You will be out of a job next year.
We will campaign for anyone else.
You broke your promise to let us read this bill first.

Not so fast Mr. Israel. No tort reform, no alien verification, no attempt to eliminate Medicaid/Medicare waste until now, no fiscal prudence, no guarantee that I keep my benfits without a tax (don't give us the millionare class-warefare baloney), no RESPECT for your constituants:
No Steve Israel in Washington.
Dismissive and and disrespectful to those who voted for you. You won't fool me again. Nancy Pelosi got more attention than I did. I will not waste my independent vote on you again! Sad.
