Hmm, now tell me, with these twin cylinder Mamod engine's, so you have to push it to get it moving due to the small displacement?

You may need to give it a bit of a shove when there cold or on top dead centre or unmodified but mine self start most of time (when they workthat is).

Just cut off the exhaust pipe so it ends about half way up the smoke box then crush the end. It also creates back pressure so it doesnt run away (as much)
