One of my favourite Tori songs, the intro is beautiful on the record and it's just as amazing live! From the 2001 Dallas show.

  • I heard the voice at the beginning of the album track is actually her father.

  • @Doylefromhell. It's not. It's Marcel van Limbeek and Rob van Tuin, her engineers, speaking to each other in Dutch. You can hear her dad at the beginning of Happiness is a Warm Gun on Strange Little Girls.

  • Absolutely my fave Tori song. Haunting, melancholy, beautiful, heartfelt, disturbing, upsetting, you know, all those good things.

  • "not the red baron" is one of the rare Tori one take wonders. She started getting feadback into the sound booth of the techs talking and she told them to continue recording, they asked if they wanted her to speak in english and she says "No Dutch" The first recording ever is the one on the CD.

  • A good piece.

  • @sadieprater Very cool thanks for sharing. Always wondered about that.

  • I think Tori has a fascination with tragic airplane deaths ...."Can't see New York, "Not the Red Baron" and Spring Haze (JFK jr's demise). All of these songs stir up terrible images of airplane victims in my head for some reason.

  • I absolutely love her... she tuches my soul! <3

  • @cosmicblooms i know what u mean, i listened to boys for pele nonstop for several years!

  • pure magic !

  • @Strumrr thrilling!

  • @sadieprater I know that your comment is an older one but I wanted to thank you for explaining this story. I just got into her music about 5 months ago and I've always wondered the story behind the very beginning of this song. I knew Marianne was a one-take wonder. Are there any others that you know of?

  • Wow! Reminds me of being a teenager in the 90's again. After all these years, I feel the same as If I heard if for the first time.

  • one of my favorite tori clips has been for years, that intro!!!
