  • Good point and illustration anatomically. I will use this with some of my students. Sometimes difficult to get them to fell it and understand it!

  • @skiwhh I'm not certain that you cant twist and extend, but that's not important. The twist (steering) starts in the middle, shaping phase of the short radius turn and becomes more pronounced at turn completion -- the point of maximum flexion.

  • @Anderzander In short radius turns, twisting (steering) helps accentuate the skis shape to move the skis out of the fall line to complete the turn. Regardless of the radius of the ski, dynamic short radius takes some steering input.

  • Can I ask why you are twisting when, with the shaped modern skis, you just need to put them on edge to turn?

  • You can't twist your legs while you are extending and you are extending, so much for your theory and effectiveness of you teaching..

  • Excellent! Clear and accurate, fantastic static excercise, great demo. Cheers

  • Excelent tip! I'm going to try it to improve my body position! Thanks.

  • great tip. simple to complex! love it
