COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- Covington is making progress with the retaining wall collapse on Caroline Avenue. Friday, crews are drilling 25-foot holes to analyze the soil. Engineers will then analyze the soil composition. That will help them determine the final plans for the new wall's construction. The families all had to move out after last week's wall collapse and water main break. The city engineer says best case scenario is that they will be able to move back in late January. In the meantime, tarps cover the property in front of these four house to prevent more damage from this weekend's heavy rain.
