I recently watched the movie "Heavy Metal" and in its soundtrack were 2 songs entitled "Heavy Metal" One by Sammy Hagar and one by Don Felder. They reminded of that episode of Cowboy Bebop: "Heavy Metal Queen". I figured it be kind of fun to make an AMV using one of those songs and clips from only that episode. So heres that AMV which i finished months ago but didn't upload until now. I used Sammy Hagar's Heavy Metal. Maybe i'll make another one using Don Felder's.... Maybe.

James Cameron is a huge fan of HM the movie and teh comic magazines, so i think the design and creatures for his world are influenced by HM magazine including the works of Azarath and Richard Corben.

@jungleman68 yes there is that, with Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, (and a LOT more). But, they weren't as popular in the 80's as the hair bands....and btw, G N' R is NOT a hair band, they aren't even a metal band, they are a hard rock act. And neither is Def Leppard, really, they just have a big time pop feel to them. I still stand by my statment, Hair bands blow.

@OmniTron1000 what about nwobhm? btw, I've been hearing all about hair metal bands but I can't find a bad one. Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Guns n roses, Twisted sister. Maybe I just didn't find it but motley crue is in brutal legend.

@jungleman68 more like the 80's...metal was there in the 70's...but not like it was in the 80's, in the 80's it was "popular" **note all the god aweful hair bands....
