He died in a helicopter crash on his way home from the x games. He was the pilot. Killed everyone on board including his son and two family friends.

@A7xrulesallnoobs It´s sad, really sad. I´ve been waiting for a comback here a long time and then I saw this. Maked made me sink down in my chair and felt the head getting heavyer. Sad enough I don´t have any pictures from the Race, but I do have a a band from the race I cary my keys in.

Well, all I can say is that he is in heaven and I bet that he is the best racer up there :P

I was like 10 m from him first time I saw him. I allways use him as example when kids press the speed in bottom, ( Everybody think they can drive like, Colin MaCrae )

Just for those who read that bullshit bout McRae's helicopter crash.........it was at his home during takeoff, and yes he was the pilot. Was and always will be the greatest rally driver to ever live. "when in doubt, flat out"
