This game is all about controlling tempo and I have never seen Roddick really control the temp against Roger federer

To all Roddick fans, I am not trying to criticize but Roodick is too predictable. I read an article a couple days ago by Boris Becker and how the dynamics and strategy of chess metaphorically represents the same for tennis. If you closely watch Roddick's ball placement, you can see how easily thought out his plays are. I'm just saying that Roger, especially, can easily predict the movement, ball pace, and strategy of Roddick's mindset.

In a time where there is Nadal, Federer and so many other great players, Roddick is still able to stay within the top 10 for about 10 years now without much praise or success and yet he still strives to be the best. That's true commitment, that's why Roddick inspires me.
