Occupy DC protestors and people marching with the "Take Back the Capitol" week of action shut down K Street, "the lobbying center for the world's most powerful corporations," this afternoon in Washington DC. The week of actions is organized by several activist groups and Occupations from across the country.
One of the very best parts of this video is the guy toward the end who said his dreams for starting an alternative fuels business was not possible due to the tremendous power of the existing big oil corporate structure. This is a sad, true and recurring phenomena. Often, the big money already in power squash true innovation because they keep guys like him down. That is a downside to the current 99-1% structure that does not get talked about enough.
