@manap3000 The best shape for the fins on a rocket would be a rounded bottom, And about 13 of them. This is how some mortars can be fired straight up ( if there is no wind or angle of any kind) and land right back into the mortar tube. Now that is precise.

hey guys, what in ur opinion is the best fin shape to use. my rocket for school is due tommorow and i have already decided on rectangular shaped fins, but ur input wouldn't hurt
I bought this one from walmart but instead of gold i went with the silver one. It worked great, my friend had a 35$ one and it went up just as far as his did. I didnt spend the 19$ thats in your description though, I only spent 7$ down here in Virginia.
