A Walmart ($19) model rocket launch from Big Bear Lake, CA in 2005. It works quite well, but finding it is another problem.

  • @manap3000 The best shape for the fins on a rocket would be a rounded bottom, And about 13 of them. This is how some mortars can be fired straight up ( if there is no wind or angle of any kind) and land right back into the mortar tube. Now that is precise.

And sorry for being 2 years late. I still hope there is time! :P

  • hey guys, what in ur opinion is the best fin shape to use. my rocket for school is due tommorow and i have already decided on rectangular shaped fins, but ur input wouldn't hurt

  • I bought this one from walmart but instead of gold i went with the silver one. It worked great, my friend had a 35$ one and it went up just as far as his did. I didnt spend the 19$ thats in your description though, I only spent 7$ down here in Virginia.

  • damn walmart isnt cheap hahaha i got 2 mini rockets but i didnt know how to build it
