There has been a lot of hype about the .co TLDs, there are many people posting that Google will accept them as the new .com, although it's the TLD for Colombia. Will Google treat the .co as generic like .com or .net or as a local TLD? Thanks Matt! Andrés, Costa Rica

Question is, can it be geo-targeted as a global TLD.
You do not answer this question, all you state is that it can be targeted to countries.
Can it target globally, with sub sites e.g example . co / FR for France, example . co / AU for Australia etc. ???

the .co is almost the equivalent of a scam imo. any site owner who isn't 1/2 retarded is now forced to buy it anytime they get a new domain, for obvious reasons. i honestly find it offensive that it was even introduced.

Thanks for the interesting info Andres there has been much hype about the .co extension and i suppose you have to take risks when buying domains to a degree, i can remember the .co "land rush" it diden't bother me as i just grabbed what i thought were TLD and done very well and still have them, i believe this extension is becoming more popular as time goes on, 6 of my sites have this extension they certainly are a great alternative to a .com for that exact match domain if it has been snapped up.

Max Cutts this video re the Colombian cc makes nonsence of the geo domains. The whole geo domain system makes sense, your video has not any rationale that is workable. It is not any good at all to Google users worldwide.
