Brown widow is a fairly new species of spider closely related to the black widow. I just happened to see one right in front of the local post office. Talk about going postal!

  • The hourglass shape on its body is very slimming.

  • yeah. They are EVERTWHERE. They will flat out live wherever they damn well please, unlike most other spiders. These fuckers will post up in your house. If you see these, kill them without hesitation, they are overrunning black widows and out competing native species.

KILL THE BROWN WIDOW ON SIGHT!

  • did you kill it

  • now they don't even have the hourglass all the time, like the ones in my garage 0.0 scary

  • very scary indeed

  • i just found 7 brown widows, i live in florida.yay.

  • KSEE news 24 used some of your footage it looks like in April, hope you were compensated!

  • @vixey420 there is a regular garden spider that looks very similar to the brown widow, the fat body, long spindly legs, it is poisonous but not much, i would still get it checked if you were bitten by one, just sayin, but they can live pretty much anywhere, just to be safe i wuld spray pesticide around the base of your house and get around that particular window very well

  • quick question.. there's what i think is a brown widow living in my window that i can't get out because it runs and hides every time i go to squish it.. question is i'm not even entirely sure that's what it is it looks the same it has the orange hourglass on it's belly and it's web looks the same.. but i live in Canada..? is it possible they've come further north or is there another spider that looks similar?

  • @twilightangel88 Because they breed much faster than the black widow, they will run the native black widow, over time, the black will die off... :/

  • @TheMetalWarrior there are a lot of them are i find these more often than that of the black widow, but brown widows aren't aggressive that they are out competing their cousin the black widow because there are plenty of insects out there for both, but I agree is not a good idea to have too many of em hanging around same goes for the black widow. :/
