cont... the injustice of the oppresive system.. Two examples of songs that reflect what the heart of reggae music is about whether black or white, rasta or not....

cont..... reflection of the struggles that many of the working and lower class British people were experiencing under the Tory goverment in the early 80's they also spoke out against many other political injustices for example the case of black american Gary Tyler who was convicted of a murder that he didn't commit , UB40's song "Tyler" brought his case to a world that wouldn't have heard about it, also their anti aparthied anthem and song to Mandela "Sing Our Own Song" spoke of the..

cont.... biggest hits got the correct publishing royalties from songs that they were not even originally paid for... Didn't say I could, smart guy. The difference is I don't get paid to. But I do know the genuine article when I hear it, and I sure as hell know bull$hit when I hear it.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
These guys are extraordinarily mediocre. Music needs a band like this like an Inuit needs a freezer. And the guy sounds like a frog. Ribbit!

Yeah, that's why the fathers of reggae themselves have paid tribute to UB40. The members of UB40 are purists in their taste of reggae. They just know what it takes to introduce it to the rest of the world.
