YOU CAN TRUST IN OUP FOR THESE DEFINITIVE PRINCIPLES OF LAW

An appreciation by Phillip Taylor MBE and Elizabeth Taylor of Richmond Green Chambers

Yes, another book on Trusts and this one is now in a second edition! Authors Thomas and Hudson have produced a definitive modern work which analyses over 200 new cases since the first edition appeared. With 11 major contributors, the book has 59 chapters and covers every conceivable aspect of modern Trusts law in nearly 1,700 pages.

The new edition has been substantially rewritten and explains the shape of the law coherently, balancing the cases and statutes with the academic content to offer something for everyone on an acceptable detailed level. The aim of the writers is to offer a contribution to the available literature on trusts law and they do just that.

It's always going to be difficult to 'compete' (if that is the right word) with the well-known and established works but "Thomas and Hudson on Trusts" has filled a particular spot well. It gives an account of foundation principles and applies those principles to the many different forms that modern trusts now take and we particularly liked the reference to international jurisdictions which is a plus factor for some many readers today.

Thomas & Hudson have added a new dimension to the ongoing discussion on trusts and it helps the user understand the progress which has taken place in recent years in this most interesting field of law- one that is always a joy to teach made even more enjoyable with this new, intelligently conceived edition.
