News Hour - Opening 2003

Seems like it's an annual thing. BCTV News on Global got another set of news opens on 10/20/2003, this time coinciding with News Hour on the Road, as the news team was scheduled to revisit the province's interior in the aftermath of the summer 2003 wildfires, and present the News Hour for a week from various locations in that region. However, heavy rain and subsequent floods here in the South Coast the weekend before threw the original plans off the track. On the second night of News Hour on the Road as seen here, Tony Parsons anchored on the banks of a raging river in Squamish, instead of joining the rest of the crew in the fire-ravaged town of Barriere.
