They say a good salesperson can sell anything; WebsitesGiveBack says a good salesperson can only sell what they believe in. Sales for me comes from the heart.
Being in sales for most of my career, here's are a few basics that have helped me and I hope help you on some level:
■Be sincere and come from an honest place within when you sell.
■Keep focused on the customer, not simply the outcome.
■Don't take rejection as a negative or bad thing. Understand that what you have is something that they may not need or can afford or may be right for them at this particular time.
■Always be gracious and close on a good note because you don't know what the future holds; there may be a another opportunity or someone may refer you.
■Find ways to be inspired and keep yourself pumped up. Be confident and know you're doing something good by filling a need.
So, what's your sales strategy? Are you emotionally invested? Do you hit quick or build long-term relationships? And for those on the receiving end, what sales approach works best on you? How do you handle salespeople? Please, share your thoughts.
