The Hawk's Eight Steps trains the six harmonies along with the proper rhythm of the Xing-Yi movements. The focus is on the concentration of the mind and Chi. Although this set contains simple movements, it was emphasized heavily by Sun Lu Tang while he taught Xing-Yi at the Central Martial Association.

  • It should be noted that this footage is decades old...probably close to 30 years. Sifu Lam switched all of his focus to the internal styles about 20 years ago and his skill and understanding has improved immensely and is still doing so.

  • i must agree with michahman

  • not for hsing i though lol.Alot of guys are great at some other art and try to incorpret hsing i . There is very little hsing i movement here. Not tobe negative.

  • Wing Lam is the greatest, I know him best for his hung gar, but his knowledge of the other arts is amazing too.
