well i can't help you to fix camstudio itself, until you can figure it out or whatever, i can suggest some alternate programs, I've heard that ZD Game Recorder is good (never tried myself though) as wellas virtual dub (haven't tried this one either), I myself have started using Fraps (techinaclly not free, but you can still find it as such if you want to look for it.) it hasn't given problems, well except it spits out some really huge uncompressed video files. well hope this helps
