@skylineaddict I know right? I absolutely adore Colm (and all the eyebrow action), but his slight whines at the end of some of his epic notes sort of lessen the impact, which is a pity.
I would say the same for Ramin as well. Amazing performer, but the way he ends some of his notes...
(On a side note, Ramin's sort of taken after Colm (his first Phantom in Toronto) hasn't he--the way he ends his notes, along with the eyebrow action and all lol)

I agree. I'm a huge fan of Colm, but there's some things he does that bug me, like when he over-emphasizes things that shouldn't be emphasized (When the rebels turn Javert over to him).

Wilkinson's voice is great but his tonality bugs me...

What's the difference between confrontation and telling someone how you feel?

@HedvigRok this has always been my favorite part. Colm will always be my favorite Valjean I love his "I'm a stronger man by far. There is power in me yet, my race is not yet ru-un" sooooo good. It gives me chills. It's amazing. So much emotion. The two of them are brilliant.

Philip Quast, the best Javert!

@Sherlockandwatson007 you guys are awesome.
How anyone can say this lacks emotion is beyond me.
Portraying emotion is not all about running around, flapping your arms... Colm Wilkinson and Philip Quast are perfectly able to portrey the tension in this scene merely by using their voices. If some people can't appreciate the subtle brilliance in that, I pity them.
