The M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System is intended to replace the M24 Sniper Weapon System used by snipers, spotters, designated marksmen, or squad advanced marksmen in the United States Army. The U.S. Army ran a competition involving several designs, including ones from Knight's Armament Company, Remington, and DPMS Panther Arms. On September 28, 2005, the Knight's Armament Co. rifle won the competition and was selected to be the M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System. In April 2007, U.S. Army soldiers from Task Force Fury in Afghanistan were the first in a combat zone to receive the M110

  • @Lucasbabucas5000 still not an m110

  • @tsxws And a match grade chrome lined barrel as well as free-float rails for superior accuracy and many other minor modifications that greatly impact the performance of the weapon system as a whole. Please research before you post and I believe you made a spelling mistake where you said "eat" where you mean "it"; unless you plan on eating the gun.

  • @ATTACKOFTHEBENZ

AR platform has several models. AR10 that I mentioned is already chambered in .308. DERP

  • @tsxws

something yuo dont know is that even though it is a AR platform it has capability to change to 7.62 NATO (.308) caliber.

  • @MrMonkeebalz

Specific models are military person only at $1,200- even some models $24,000

to answer your question, the M110 siper system is able for purchase to civilians at $2,500 without scope and bipod

  • Legal for civies? If so, price?

  • @tsxws You clearly do not know what you are talking about. sub-moa accuracy and the reliability of a gas piston system in an ultra hardy and reliable package, thats why this weapon is being utilized by the special forces community and has received numerous awards from the military and private sector for its innovations.
